     Summer brings highs in the 70's to Independence Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Independence Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. Take a little tour to Coal Creek if you're here at Independence Lake. There's so much to do here at Independence Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Perry Creek Campground is a pleasant  
   site for that. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is excellent! There's whitewater on Stillaguamish River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people; why not head up to Stephens Pass and strap some skis to your feet.
Independence Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. And that's not all you can do here at Independence Lake. A lake nearby is Windon Lake, and going
 
               for a hike on the Meadow Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure.
Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Sauk River, and you can go for a hike on the Finney Peak Trail. Independence Lake typically gets a great deal of rain; November is when you get the most rain here while July is typically the driest month. At Independence Lake you can distinguish Devils Peak, and nearby you locate the Lost Creek Ridge Trail which is a great hiking trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Independence Lake has to offer, you can camp at Deer Creek Campground, and Independence Lake is not the only place nearby, North Lake is a nearby lake.

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...
