in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Since you're here at Hyas Lake why not explore Deception Pass, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Davis Peak Lookout Trail. All the water falling down
from the sky makes Hyas Lake a wet site; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is when it's the driest.

Fish Lake Campground
Watch for grizzly. Esp. early spring and fall....
Tucquala Lake
1 PHOTO This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out....
Davis Peak Lookout Trail
I hated hiking it but the things I saw were amazing!!!!!...
Bonnie Lake
10 miles away Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?...
Wish Poosh Campground
13 miles away We overnighted at this campsite a couple of weekends ago. The camp hosts were wonderful, they were informative and kept the grounds and the bathrooms spic-n-span clean. They were always in their golf cart putting around taking care of this or that. They scolded us for staying the night in a place we weren't supposed to, and I felt bad about that because I knew we shouldn't have stayed there but my partner insisted and it was his birthday. I knew they were just keeping order at the campground they were in charge of, and I appreciated that. Keep up the good work!...
Stephens Pass
14 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...
Pacific Crest Trail - section 25
18 miles away Roundtrip Distance 17.4 miles Elevation Gain 2,574 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map....
Lake Pugsley
19 miles away Pugsly is a bushwack that requires a raft to get to....
Snoqualmie
21 miles away 3 PHOTOS From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!...
Alpental
22 miles away Really good gets tons of snow but almost always wet has some very steep runs which are great and has some cliffs that are my size and some so i can learn...
