A nice close by hotel is Best Western Grapevine Inn, and do pop by Slaughterhouse Lake, it's a pretty lake. Around Horseshoe Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through December this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. If you need a spot to stay Rodeway Inn Sunnyside       is a good choice. All through the months of summer at Horseshoe Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Horseshoe Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Black Rock Creek Golf Course.
