Horseshoe Lake is a lake worth visiting. All through the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Horseshoe Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. This lake is so wonderful.
Stay the night at Smitty's Trailer Park; paddling on Big Quilcene River is so much fun. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Horseshoe Lake called the Mount Zion Trail; if you need a site to stay Inn At Port Hadlock is a delightful
choice. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is plentiful here in the Olympic Mountains. Near Horseshoe Lake you come across the Bear Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail.
