Long Lake is a lake in close proximity; dry warm beds await you at Gitche Gumee Inn & Suites. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Lake mostly tend to be in the 60's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Horseshoe Lake. The high level of rain makes Horseshoe       Lake a quite wet location; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough there's lots more enjoyable things to do in the Olympic Mountains. If you came to camp Ocean Gate Resort and Park is a nice site to do that, and after a long day outdoors The Polynesian Resort is a magnificent site to spend                  a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Roamers Roost is a good place for that.
