     Going for a hike along the Terry Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Edgewater Campground is a nice campground nearby. Hooknose Lake is mostly a reasonably dried up site; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and September meanwhile is the driest month. While you're here at Hooknose Lake, you could also pop by lovely Lower Lead King Lake; Mt. Linton RV and Trailer Park is a magnificent local  
   campground. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Hooknose Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sullivan River, and Comfort Inn Colville is a magnificent place to get some rest. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Hooknose Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs
 
               are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hooknose Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. On a beautiful day you acquire a panorama of Hooknose Mountain from Hooknose Lake; do explore Flume Creek Reservoir, it's a wonderful lake.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
