For the period of the days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Home Lake; the night is somewhat cooler of course, generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Home Lake are in the 30's. Having a good time in the Central Cascade Range is trouble-free. While you're here at Home Lake you       ought to go to Collins Point, and a day on the slopes of Cooper Spur is just what you need. The panorama of Shellrock Mountain from Home Lake is pretty, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mt. Hood Meadows is pretty near. Hiking along the Wyeth Trail is delightful fun, and why not camp at Wind Mountain Resort if you're here at Home Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Brush Creek Trail; Hood River - West Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
