For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hoh Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Clide Creek near Hoh Lake is a great idea; if you came for an overnight stay Log Cabin Resort and Trailer is a nice spot to camp. This lake is located in the       wonderful Olympic Mountains. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Olympic Mountains. You're possibly interested in lakes, Round Lake is one of those close by, and the Deer Lake Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. There's whitewater on Soleduck River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people, and the summit of Bogachiel Peak can be made out from                  Hoh Lake. So much entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains, just amazing. Going for a hike along the Soleduck Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and sites like Seven Lakes Basin are tremendous to take a look at. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do near Hoh Lake. The sights at Olympic National Park will blow your mind, and if you need a place to stay Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a pleasant choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lyre River, and lots of people from Port Angeles come here. This lake is so wonderful. Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Hoh River Trail. The high level of rainfall makes Hoh Lake a relatively wet location; most of the rain falls all through November, and July is when it's the driest.
