There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Good hiking is available along the Escondido Trail, and do stop by Camp Robber Creek if you're here at Hinter Lake. At Hinter Lake you can make out Malachite Peak, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go       whitewater paddling on Miller River - West Fo. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hinter Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes. Lake Malachite is a lake in close proximity; Hinter Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Foss River Campground is a good local campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Hinter Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Hinter Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Be careful coming to Hinter Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again.
