A delightful close by hotel is Rodeway Inn       Bellingham, and unsurprisingly, this is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes, Lake Padden is a lake nearby. Whatcom Creek is a great whitewater spot near Heron Pond, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Heritage Inn is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Crest Haven Mobile Home and RV is a tremendous campground nearby; the skiing at Mt.Baker is brilliant. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Heron Pond.                  Baker Creek is a lovely stream that is worth a visit, and you're perhaps interested in lakes, Sunset Pond is one of those close by. Bellingham RV Park is a delightful local campground; an afternoon playing golf at North Bellingham Golf Course is always a pleasure. This lake is so wonderful. Heron Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. During the warm months at Heron Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
