Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is bountiful here in the Northern Cascade Range.       After a long day outdoors Crystal Mountain Hotels is a fine place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hen Skin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dry Creek Campground. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Gotta ski! Crystal Mountain is a delightful spot to do that; do take a look at Crystal Lake, it's a lovely lake. From Hen Skin Lake you obtain a glorious vista of Crown Point, and                  there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Dewey Lake Trail. Having a perfect time at Hen Skin Lake is painless. A pleasant journey to Pickhandle Basin is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon; you can run the rapids of White River. Throughout the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Hen Skin Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Hen Skin Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Stay the night at Morse Creek Campground, and nearby Bear Gap is a delightful place to go. Very scenic scenery and good skiing is what you get at White Pass, and you can go for a hike on the Union Creek Trail. Much rain falls at Hen Skin Lake; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Chinook Creek; why not take a look at Placer Lake Dam if you're here.
