This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Verlot Campground, and let's not forget Benson Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. Nearby lakes? Sure, Summit Lake is right next door to Heather Lake; if you're here you can take a hike along the Finney Peak Trail. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the Northern

Cascade Range. Best Western Sky Valley Inn, Monroe is a good place to get some rest; Stillaguamish River - South Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Heather Lake. After a long day outdoors GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; why not camp at Turlo Campground while you're here at Heather Lake. So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. You could also stop by Bathtub Lakes if you're here at Heather Lake; it's close by. WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals, always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....
