Why not stop by Heather Lake if you're passing through these parts. All the water falling down from the sky makes Heather Lake a wet place; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July. Bathtub Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and going for a hike on the Finney Peak Trail is always a great adventure. There's so much to do here at Heather Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Turlo Campground is a magnificent place for that. Lake is excellent! If you need a spot to stay GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a delightful choice, and you can stay the night at Verlot Campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Sky Valley Inn, Monroe is a good place to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Gee Point Trail.
