Heather Lake is a lake worth visiting. So many enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Wenatchee Pass is a great place to explore nearby; Little Wenatchee Ford Campground is a magnificent local campground. Heather Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a large amount of precipitation; during January this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Very pretty scenery and great skiing is what you get at Alpental,

| | and Theseus Creek Campground is a great campground nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Lake Creek is so much fun. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Glasses Lake near Heather Lake is a glorious place to check out, and fine hiking is available along the Fire Creek Trail.

Heather Lake; drift down the rapids of Little Wenatchee River in a kayak. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really plentiful here at Heather Lake. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Lake Louis near Heather Lake,
and don't leave Heather Lake without first going for a hike along the Glacier Ridge Trail. Gotta ski! Stephens Pass is a wonderful location to do that, and there are magnificent spots to discover along the Kennedy Ridge Trail.
The warmest time of the year at Heather Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's while night lows are regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while Heather Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.

Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |

Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |

This ''Lake'' Is Beautiful. It really isn't a lake at all, in the summer it is a widening of the river. Very slow moving river, more like a slough, it is very clean, clear, and cold, mountain runoff. The fishing is excellent from a small boat or float tube, although the current can be somewhat strong. I fly fished, using a #14 Adams, and caught 11 rainbow and cutthroat trout between 6 & 11'', in the early to mid evening. This was in July of 2008. Camping was good, small sites along the main road. Keep your food in the cars though as Bears are definitely out.... |

Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?... |
