Having a good time in the Olympic Mountains is simple. Not far from Heart Lake, you'll locate Lake Number 8 which is a pretty lake, and Sol Duc Park is a fine spot to check out. Heart Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through November this area sees the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. During your trip to Heart Lake you'll meet some people from Port Angeles for sure, and       the snow is perfect at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. At Heart Lake you can see Mount Appleton, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elwha River. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Heart Lake without first going for a hike along the Boulder Lake Trail, and Lyre River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a fine location to get some rest,                  and pleasant hiking is available along the Happy Lake Ridge Trail. Summer at Heart Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Heart Lake throughout the winter generally plunge into the 30's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Heart Lake. There are other places here than Heart Lake, for example Haigs Lake; you can go for a hike on the Soleduck Trail. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Olympic Mountains. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the Olympic Mountains has to offer. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Heart Lake has to offer, you can camp at Indian Valley Motel and RV Park, and Appleton Pass is positively a delightful place to check out. Why not take a look at close by Bridge Creek if you're here at Heart Lake, and if you have the time, Olympic National Park is a national park worth a visit. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Heart Lake.
