Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Hanaford Lake all through the winter generally dip into the 30's. There's glorious hiking along the Toutle River Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Roy's Motel and RV Park is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful.       There's some flowing water nearby, Coldwater Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here, and don't leave Hanaford Lake without first going for a hike along the Fawn Lake Trail. Mount Rainier National Park is a very magnificent site to check out in close proximity to Hanaford Lake, and Hanaford Lake is not the only place nearby, Forest Lake is a nearby lake. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Hanaford Lake. Hoffstadt Creek is a                  delightful whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Hanaford Lake, and if you get bored of Hanaford Lake you could also take a look at nearby Elk Lake. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Quartz Creek Big Trees Campground is a delightful local campground; everyone loves Elk Prairie. Having a great time in the Northern Cascade Range is trouble-free. You can run the rapids of Cowlitz River next to Hanaford Lake, and delightful hiking is available along the Coldwater Trail. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
