One of the main highlights of the surroundings of Haigs Lake is Mount Appleton; Haigs Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Indian Valley Motel and RV Park is a wonderful local campground. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bridge Creek; there are splendid places to discover along the Boulder Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Olympic       National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and if you're going to from Port Angeles, you won't be the only one. Camping at Altair Campgrounds is always a good experience, and you might also want to pay a visit to Appleton Pass since you're here at Haigs Lake. Much precipitation falls at Haigs Lake; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody                  but if it's for you then we recommend Elwha River; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge while you're here. A delightful close by hotel is Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort; don't leave Haigs Lake without first going for a hike along the Happy Lake Ridge Trail. So many amusing things to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too great to be true. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Haigs Lake has it all. There's perfect hiking along the Soleduck Trail, and a visit to Sol Duc Park revives the spirit. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You clearly should fancy the Olympic Mountains. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Uptown is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Elwha River for all you adrenaline junkies. Summer at Haigs Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Haigs Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun.
