many cool things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range rocks! Alpental is a very popular ski area close by; dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff,
what a great earth it would be. A good site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Gunn Lake is Skykomish River - North Fork, and San Juan Campground is a good local campground. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater
of Trout Creek; if you're here, you could have a look at South Fork Trout Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of pretty Gunn Peak near Gunn Lake is fine; if you need a site to stay Salish Lodge And Spa is a perfect
choice. The high level of rain makes Gunn Lake a reasonably wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Stephens Pass
 | 11 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |

Honey Lake
 | 12 miles away The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.
