Goode Mountain is clearly visible from Green View Lake. A lot of precipitation falls at Green View Lake; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Just can't get enough of Green View Lake. Stehekin River is a pleasant whitewater spot near Green View Lake, and Green View Lake is right by the Park Creek Trail.       Interesting geology is available here; Goode Glacier is close to Green View Lake, and there are other locations here than Green View Lake, for example Glory Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Theis Creek is a great local stream. There's so much to do here at Green View Lake that you need to camp here for a while, High Bridge Campground is a tremendous place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Pacific                  Crest Trail - section 26; you can stay the night at Shady Campground. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn - Leavenworth is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and lakes are such calm locations, why not stop by Silent Lakes. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Hiking along the Mill Creek Trail is nice fun; a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Granite Creek. Throughout the months of summer at Green View Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
