Green Lake is a nice lake to visit. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Skiing at White Pass is one of those things you just have to do; you can run the rapids of Tieton River - South Fork. During the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Green Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Green Lake dipping
down into the 20's during winter nights. Don't leave Green Lake without first paying a visit to Spruce Spring, and Green Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Tree Phones Campground is a pleasant local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent spot to camp here at Green Lake is South Fork Campground, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Tieton River. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This place,

Green Lake, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. You simply must stop by Dead Hole since you're here at Green Lake; lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Little Lake.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Cougar Flats is right here at Green Lake, and of course Shellneck Creek is a delightful stream that is worth going to. There are other sites here than Green Lake, for example Blue Lake, and places like Fort Simcoe State Park are wonderful to stop at. This lake is so wonderful.
Green Lake gets a lot of water; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

Rimrock Lake
Robin, you can have fires in camp at Rimrock as long as there are no fire bans in the Wenatchee National Forest, you can find out if there is a ban by going to the Naches Ranger Station online or along Highway 12 going through Naches up White Pass....When is the best time to troll for silvers in Rimrock Lake?...Would like to now if we are allowed to have camp fires at rimrock lake....

White Pass
15 miles away
...s it special though, is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. It's what makes White Pass a ski and snowboard paradise.
The White Pass experience starts with a bountiful snowfall (350'' in an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades.
The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners.
Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes.
White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boarder. It offers a half-pipe.
It's got one of the most scenic and well-maintained cross-country areas in the Northwest. The 18 km of double track, which allows both classic and skating, circ...

Granite Lake
17 miles away
Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared....
