    Do stop by Granite Lake Potholes while you're in this part of Washington. Granite Lake Potholes is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Granite Lake Potholes, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Granite Lake Potholes. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to DeForest  
   Creek, and a magnificent spot for whitewater paddling is Stillaguamish River - North Fork.
If you get bored of Granite Lake Potholes, you could also stop at close by McGillicuddys Duck Pond; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder River. If you came to camp Skagit River woods is a glorious place to do that, and brilliant hiking is available along the Finney Peak Trail. So many cool things in the Northern
 
               Cascade Range, just inspiring. Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a perfect site in the vicinity of Granite Lake Potholes, and you can go for a hike on the Gee Point Trail.
There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Granite Lake Potholes. Camping at Timberline Recreational Vehicle Park is always a fine experience; Granite Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Granite Lake Potholes is a relatively wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December while July is mostly the driest month. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range.

We camped at blue lake july 23&24 2009.The trail is in good shape,short and easy.The lake is crystal clear and the scenery is spectacular with tall granite cliffs and multiple small 200+ ft waterfalls.Would be a great day hike for children.Bring bug spray,the mosquitos are voracious...
