     Washington has many beautiful lakes and Granite Lake is one of them. If the weather is great here at Granite Lake, you can go for a hike along the Silver Creek Trail, and if you're hooked on cool geologic highlights try High Rock. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cispus River; why not a little side journey to Teeley Creek. You clearly ought to adore the Northern Cascade Range. Granite Lake is good  
   enough to spend more than a day at, High Rock Campground is a good local campground, and a journey to Mount Rainier National Park is recommended.
This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you get a panorama of Osborne Mountain from Granite Lake, and hiking along the Big Creek Trail is good fun. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Silver Creek is a good whitewater spot near Granite Lake, and probably you're looking
 
               for nearby lakes? Sure, Pothole Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Granite Lake is Mounthaven Resort, and Econo Lodge Buckley is a nice place to get some rest.
This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. Just can't get enough of Granite Lake. Going for a hike along the Osborne Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Bertha May Lake is one of those nearby.
For the period of the summer here at Granite Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Granite Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Granite Lake frequently gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July.

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
