Summertime highs at Golden Lakes ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Golden Lakes dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. A spree to Mount Rainier National Park is recommended; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Buckley is a perfect site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent nearby hotel

| | is Kings Valu Inn, and Paul Peak is pretty and can be seen from here. All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. North Mowich River is a brilliant location to take a look at; a scenic lake like Aurora Lake is a great place to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ipsut Creek Trail, and camping at Ipsut Creek Campground is always a fine experience. The Northern Cascade | |

Range scenery is always beautiful. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a pleasant time. The Paul Peak Trail offers hiking at its best, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Clearwater River - White River Tributary.
Take a hike on the Osborne Mountain Trail, and camping is available at Mounthaven Resort. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Do visit Eunice Lake next to Golden Lakes,
it's a delightful lake; get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of South Praire Creek. Golden Lakes is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.

 | July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving.... |
