You can run the rapids of Sloan Creek right next door to Goat Lake, and the skiing at Stephens Pass is great. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Goat Lake. Ida Pass is a splendid spot to go to close by. There's so much to do here at Goat Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Monte Cristo Campground is a great location for that.       Goat Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. Nearby lakes? Sure, Ida Lake is in the vicinity of Goat Lake; there's whitewater on Sauk River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people. Go for a hike on the Meadow Mountain Trail; Glacier Basin is a splendid site to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is so wonderful.
