Hit the slopes at Alpental close at hand, and the Mount Defiance Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. Float down the rapids of Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork in a kayak, and you're perhaps keen on lakes, Thompson Lake is one of those close by. So many enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Stay the night at Commonwealth Campground, and nearby you come across the Pratt Lake Trail       which is a great hiking trail. During the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Gifford Lakes, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Gifford Lakes. Going for a hike on the Annette Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and Gifford Lakes is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Nor'west Motel and RV Park                  is a splendid place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Snoqualmie, and after a long day outdoors Salish Lodge And Spa is a nice spot to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gifford Lakes a wet place; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a wonderful place to get some rest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pratt River. Gifford Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff.
