There are other places here than Gibbs Lake, for example Watch Lake, and the Silver Creek Trail offers hiking       at its best. Gibbs Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Gibbs Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Maple Grove Resort is a tremendous spot for that, and Kehoe Mountain is wonderful and can be seen from here. Paddling on Cispus River is so much fun, and hiking is a popular thing to do around                  Gibbs Lake; Purcell Mountain Trail is a perfect local trail. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Buckley is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Why not take a look at Mount Adams Veneer Company Mill Pond Dam while you're here, and it's a perfect idea to have a look at Hampton Creek. Through the summer months here at Gibbs Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Gibbs Lake sink into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are nice locations to stop at, and Mount Rainier National Park is no exception; Gibbs Lake is right by the Big Creek Trail. Gibbs Lake ordinarily gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest month is July. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too perfect to be true.
