Go to Gibbs Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Gibbs Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Big Quilcene River, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Bear Mountain Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Camping is available at Leland Lake Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Zion Trail.

| | Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Gibbs Lake are in the 30's. So much entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains, just unbelievable. this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Camping at Discovery Bay Camp-peniel's is always a delightful experience, and there are other places here than Gibbs Lake, for example
Beausite Lake. So many amusing things in the vicinity of Gibbs Lake, clearly phenomenal. Dry warm beds await you at Aladdin Inn Port Townsend, and Gibbs Lake is not far at all from Bremerton-Silverdale. This lake is so wonderful.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Quilcene River; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Deadfall Trail.
