Shoalwater Bay is nearby and always great to go to, and there's some flowing water nearby, Albers Slough is a stream you can explore during your stay. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Freshwater Lake. Freshwater Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Andersen's On The Ocean is a great local campground, and if you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn & Suites is a great choice. So many exciting things to do in the       Olympic Mountains, not enough time. While you're here at Freshwater Lake, you could also check out pretty Island Lake. Fort Clatsop National Memorial is a very brilliant location to explore in close proximity to Freshwater Lake; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Long Beach. This site, the Olympic Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. There's so much to do here at Freshwater Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Westgate Motor and Trailer Court                  is a nice place for that, and while you're here and you like golf, you can go to Peninsula Golf Course. At Freshwater Lake you always meet someone from Astoria; Litschke Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Freshwater Lake commonly gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during December, and July is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 60's at Freshwater Lake, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Freshwater Lake temperatures dip to the 30's.
