Through the warm months at Francis Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Francis Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. What a site this is for       outdoors folks. Head up to Stephens Pass and strap some skis to your feet, and here at Francis Lake you can catch a glimpse of Cascade Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Tumwater Lake next to Francis Lake is a delightful location to explore; the snow is great at Alpental. Francis Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Foss River Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. Francis Lake commonly gets a good deal of precipitation;                  during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is ordinarily the driest month. All year is a splendid time in the Northern Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is great on Miller River - East Fork, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Looking for some flowing water? Try Coney Creek, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pratt Lake Trail. So much cool stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Do stop at Gouging Lake in the neighborhood of Francis Lake, it's a lovely lake, and the Middle Fork Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Francis Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful.
