    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Forest Lake. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Forest Lake. Stay the night at The Dalles Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Crystal Mountain is relatively near. You don't have to go far from Forest Lake to enjoy White River Ranger District, and let's not forget Burns Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to discover along the Lost Lake Trail; paddling on Greenwater River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Forest Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Forest Lake plunge into the 30's.
There is a nice hiking trail in close
 
               proximity to Forest Lake called the Twentyeight Mile Creek Trail, and whitewater paddling is delightful on White River. Forest Lake usually gets lots of precipitation; during the month of November you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Northern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Dalles Ridge Trail is always a splendid adventure; not far from Forest Lake you'll stumble on Twentyeight Mile Lake which is a picturesque lake.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Dry Creek Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and Snoqualmie is a great local ski area.
