If you are in Cowlitz county it's always a good idea to stop by Forest Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Fawn Lake Trail, and Forest Lake is a great site to camp, Quartz Creek Big Trees Campground is a great site. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Coldwater Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; camping at Forest Lake is good fun, Roy's Motel and RV Park is a good local campground. Roy's Motel & RV Park is a tremendous place to get some rest; there are some great whitewater spots on Hoffstadt Creek. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Forest Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Forest Lake. of Forest Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Cowlitz River offers some good whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Seasons Motel is a perfect spot to spend a night or two.
You simply must adore the Northern Cascade
Range. A pretty lake like Coldwater Lake in the neighborhood of Forest Lake is a magnificent site to go to, and Elk Prairie is a fine location. This lake is so wonderful. Forest Lake gets a good deal of water; December is the wettest
month with most rain; the driest month is July.
These mountains rock, just look at all the cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. While you're here at Forest Lake you can take a hike along the Toutle River Trail, and why not stop by close by Coldwater Creek if you're here at Forest Lake.
