Forest Lake is a nice lake to visit. If you came to camp Roy's Motel and RV Park is a delightful place to do that, and brilliant hiking is available along the Fawn Lake Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cowlitz River, and camping at Quartz Creek Big Trees Campground is always a wonderful experience. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Get your heart

McBride Lake
 | 2/3 of the lake is gone. Kalama River now flows right thru the middle of what used to be the lake. It is amazing to see. The 8100 road is washed out at mile 11 so plan on a 2 mile walk....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. It is my understanding that during the 2007/2008 winter, a massive land slide occurred which filled the lake. McBride was once a great lake to catch and release fish throughout the day....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008.
