For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Forbes Lake fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a charming lake called Totem Lake near       Forbes Lake; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Matthews Beach. But wait, there's more to do next to Forbes Lake. Do take a look at Kirkland Reservoir near Forbes Lake, it's a delightful lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Duwamish River. The yearly rainfall here at Forbes Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. After a long                  day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Kirkland is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and Wayne Public Golf Course is a golf course nearby. You'll meet a lot of people from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue here. There's whitewater on Cedar River for all you thrill seekers, and Forbes Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Pleasant RV Park is a fine local campground.
