Summertime brings highs in the 80's to First Thought Lake, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for First Thought Lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at First Thought Lake. A pretty lake like Taylor Lake in close proximity to First Thought Lake is a great place to stop       at. First Thought Lake gets very little rain; throughout the month of December you get the most snow around here, and September is the month with the least moisture. You get a glorious sight of First Thought Mountain from First Thought Lake; there's whitewater on Sherman Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Kettle River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything First Thought Lake has to offer, you                  can camp at Pierre Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Colville is a pleasant spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at First Thought Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kettle River Campground is a nice spot for that.
