There's so much to do here at Fargher Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Golden West Mobile Manor is a great spot for that, and if you're here, you could also go to pretty Fargher Pond. This lake is so wonderful. John Creek is next to Fargher Pond and is always a joy to have a look at, and if you need a place to stay The Inn at Salmon Creek is a great choice. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Fargher Pond, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course,

| | usually in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Fargher Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fargher Pond has to offer, you can camp at Big Fir Campground and RV Park; Warren Seely Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. at since you're here; if you're visiting from Longview-Kelso, you won't be the only one. While you're here at Fargher Pond you can take a hike along the Georges Peak Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Lewis River - East Fork.
Fargher Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest month is July. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Cedar Creek, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Battle Ground Inn & Suites is a nice place to spend a night or two.

 | *WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5.... |
