    Why not stop by Lake Ethel if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Clearwater River - White River Tributary, and Lake Ethel is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Ipsut Creek Campground is a glorious local campground. Summertime highs at Lake Ethel commonly tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down through  
   the wintertime temperatures at Lake Ethel dip into the 30's. On a pleasant day at Lake Ethel you can take a hike along the Carbon Trail, and you can catch a glimpse of Crescent Mountain from Lake Ethel.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. If the weather is great here at Lake Ethel, you can go for a hike along the Northern Loop Trail; some attention-grabbing geology is available here, Yellowstone Cliffs is right here. Camping at
 
               White River Campground is always a magnificent experience, and glorious skiing awaits you at Crystal Mountain. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Put some time aside to spend at Van Horn Falls if you're here at Lake Ethel, and since you're here, you could also pop by pretty Adelaide Lake.
Much rainfall falls at Lake Ethel; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The area where Lake Ethel is, is dominated by the Sluiskin Mountains, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Flip-O-Way Trail. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
So many fun things to do at Lake Ethel, so little time. A delightful close by hotel is Mt View Lodge, and while you're here, you could go to Van Horn Creek. Mosquito Flat is a good spot to check out; White River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. Just can't get enough of Lake Ethel. If you need a place to stay Alexander's Country Inn is a wonderful choice, and a great location to visit nearby is Windy Gap.
All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Mount Rainier National Park is a very splendid location to visit near Lake Ethel.
