Swamps are out of the ordinary spots and Kennedy Marsh near Emerson Lake is no exception, and there's whitewater on Nisqually River for all you adrenaline junkies. The principal characteristic in the area is the Porter Hills; do take some time to check out Kennedy Woods while you're here. FT Steilacoom Golf Course is a golf course next to Emerson Lake, and perhaps you're       looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Carter Lake is just a very short distance away. Emerson Lake is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Emerson Lake. At Emerson Lake you can see Boulden Hill, and you can stay the night at Oaknoll RV Park.
