This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Canyon Creek Campground; a visit to Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is worthwhile. Be careful coming to Emerald Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. On a magnificent day at Emerald Lake you can take a hike along the White Mountain Trail, and Emerald Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Trout Lake Campground is a perfect place       to camp nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Emerald Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while Emerald Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. It is very dried up here at Emerald Lake regularly; most of the snow falls during December, and October meanwhile is the driest month. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Colville is a delightful location                  to spend a night or two, and why not a little side visit to Bailey Creek. The vista of Hoodoo Mountain from Emerald Lake is delightful, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Trout Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.
