Napeequa Crossing Campground
 | Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |

Stephens Pass
 | 29 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
