Camping at Canyon Creek Campground is always a good experience, and you can run the rapids of Sherman Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Ellen is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Ellen Campground is a perfect local campground; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Colville is a tremendous       choice. Lake Ellen in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Take a hike on the Daisy Trail, and since you're here, you could also explore gorgeous Mud Lake. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Ellen reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lake Ellen dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
