If you are in Jefferson county it's always a good idea to stop by Elk Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the Olympic Mountains. Here at Elk Lake you'll perhaps meet some folks from Port Angeles, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elwha River. For the period of the summer months here at Elk Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 70's while nighttime lows

| | are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Elk Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Olympic National Park is a great site near Elk Lake, and hiking along the Boulder Lake Trail is great fun. Glacier Creek flows through this neighborhood; a splendid place to camp here at Elk Lake is Indian Valley Motel and RV Park. You truly have to adore the Olympic Mountains. Gotta ski! Ski Lodge is a magnificent spot to do that, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Soleduck Trail.
Camping at Altair Campgrounds is always a good experience, and you can catch a sight of Snow Dome from Elk Lake. And
if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. After a long day outdoors Lake Quinault Lodge is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and Glacier Meadows is a tremendous spot.
This lake is so wonderful.
Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Happy Lake Ridge Trail, and get drenched paddling on Quinault River - North Fork. Elk Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
