Elk Lake is located in the Olympic Mountains. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the area in the neighborhood of Elk Lake has to offer. A spree to Sooes Beach in close proximity to Elk Lake is always a good idea, and a lake nearby is Dickey Lake. At Elk Lake through the warm months highs are in the 60's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime       the highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Elk Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Elk Lake ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here while August is mostly the driest month. Going for a hike along the Allens Bay Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Calawah River. All year is a wonderful time in the Olympic                  Mountains if you go for the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Kalaloch Lodge is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and a quick journey to East Branch Umbrella Creek is undeniably a brilliant idea. Dry warm beds await you at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, and if you came to camp Coho Resort-rv Park and Marina is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Elk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Angler's Hideaway is a good place for that; glide down the rapids of Hoko River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too fine to be true.
