Elk Lake is a quite wet place regularly with a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. At Elk Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Elk Lake. This lake is located       in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Olympic Mountains. On a magnificent day it's a delightful idea to spend the day at Sooes Beach, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Hoko River. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Coho Resort-rv Park and Marina, and Kalaloch Lodge is a nice spot to get some rest. Elk Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Angler's Hideaway is a great                  location to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a good site to spend a night or two. This spot, the Olympic Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. There's magnificent hiking along the South Sand Point Trail, and there's whitewater on Calawah River for all you adrenaline kick people. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Elk Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Elk Lake; Allens Bay Trail is a great local trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water?
