Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chinook Creek; not far from Elizabeth Lake you'll discover Hen Skin Lake which is a wonderful lake. Summertime highs at Elizabeth Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Elizabeth Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Dewey Lake       Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, White River offers some nice whitewater. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Skiing at Crystal Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a pleasant site to get some rest. Elizabeth Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Dry Creek Campground is a great local campground; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Castle Mountain Trail. Elizabeth Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at White Pass; if you crave a little side visit, try Bear Gap. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range.
