  This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Crystal Mountain, and Gateway Inn is a good location to get some rest. So many enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Lake Eleanor is good enough to spend more than a day at, White River Campground is a good local campground. Go for a hike on the Northern Loop Trail.
The 32.2-mile-long Northern Loop Trail is a lovely wilderness hiking trail having
    a pleasant 4,766-foot difference in elevation. This wilderness hiking trail, the Northern Loop Trail is a challenging backcountry walk that requires approximately four days.
