Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. While you're here at Echo Lake, you could also pop by pretty Lost Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Greenwater River. This lake is so wonderful. Suncadia Resort is a splendid location to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Cougar Valley Trail. | | the Greenwater Trail is always a fine adventure. Echo Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. From Echo Lake you obtain a tremendous vista of Arch Rock, and Lodgepole Campground is a good local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. The skiing at Snoqualmie is great; close by you locate the Maggie Creek Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a magnificent
choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Crystal Mountain is in the neighborhood of Echo Lake, and you'll locate a pretty lake called Hidden Lake. Morse Creek Campground is a tremendous campground
nearby, and it's a glorious idea to go to Maggie Creek. At Echo Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 20's for Echo Lake.

Granite Lake
 | 12 miles away Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared.... |
