Swamps don’t sound that great but Ronald Bog near Echo Lake is reasonably great; camping is available at Holiday Resort Mobile Park. High temperatures at Echo Lake through the summer are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Echo Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Echo Lake is close to the national average;

| | most of the rain falls throughout December, and the driest month of the year is July. Whitewater paddling is good on Duwamish River, and if you want to hit the beach, Matthews Beach is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Overland Trailer Court is a glorious site to camp, and don't forget to take a glorious little tour to Hall Creek.
