In Washington there are many beautiful lakes, East Lake is one of them. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. A magnificent close by hotel is Wind River Cabins & Lodging, and Shellrock Mountain is delightful and can be seen from here. East Lake is a rather wet place ordinarily with a good deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. This is a good neighborhood for people
who like lakes. Berge Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity, and Collins Point is rather close.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Wyeth Trail is always a great adventure; Bridge of The Gods Motel & Rv is a pleasant place to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything East Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bigfoot Park, and paddling on Panther Creek is so much fun. East Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade

               Range.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back persistently. Go for a hike on the Brush Creek Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Hood River. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at East Lake. East Lake is a glorious place to camp, Wind Mountain Resort is a glorious place, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Little White Salmon River. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Berge Reservoir Dam; since you're here, you could have a look at Collins Creek.
Be careful coming to East Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. The snow is good at Mt. Hood Meadows. Summer at East Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at East Lake temperatures drop to the 30's.
