Drano Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You can spot Chemawa Hill from Drano Lake, and Drano Lake is not far at all from Hood River. Drano Lake usually gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. The slopes of Cooper Spur are so inviting noone can resist,

| | and a visit to Perham Creek Spring will fill your soul with delightful feelings.
So many enjoyable things to do here at Drano Lake, too good to be true. There is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Drano Lake called the Little Baldy Trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Hood River Golf Course is always a bliss. Mitchell Point is around here and always wonderful to visit, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mt. Hood Meadows is a perfect site to do that. | |

During the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Drano Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's, and night lows through the wintertime for Drano
Lake tend to be in the 30's.
This lake is so wonderful. The Nestor Peak Trail is a good hiking trail near Drano Lake, and Mill A Flat is a nice place to stretch your legs a bit. Yeah, come here to Drano Lake for a wonderful time.
Sunset RV Park is a great campground here, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Hood River - West Fork. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more entertaining
stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Little White Salmon Hatchery Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Drano Lake, and Columbia Gorge Hotel is a magnificent site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
Little White Salmon Fish Hatchery Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Hood River is a delightful location to spend a night or two.
Get your heart beating on the good whitewater
of Little White Salmon River, and hey, Perham Creek is a good local stream. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Near Drano Lake you locate the Little Huckleberry Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and camping at Drano Lake is great fun, Lost Lake Resort and Campground is a great local campground.
