Slate Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and don't leave Dragon Lake without first going for a hike along the Mink Lake Trail. Dragon Lake is a rather wet place frequently with a lot of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
