Slate Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and don't leave Dragon Lake without first going for a hike along the Mink Lake Trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Dragon Lake. A good close by hotel is Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, and going for a hike on the Canyon Creek Hoh Trail is always a good adventure.

Dragon Lake is a rather wet place frequently with a lot of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July.
