The beauty of Downey Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. So many exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. The Fire Creek Trail is a delightful hiking trail near Downey Lake, and a delightful spot to camp here at Downey Lake is Downey Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Bachelor Creek; a beautiful lake

If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Downey Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Suiattle River, and if you come at the right time of year, Downey Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Sulphur Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Downey Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the
30's to Downey Lake.
Downey Lake is a rather wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the
Northern Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Totem Trail Motel; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Glacier Ridge Trail.
