Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Canyon Creek - Skagit Tributary, and close by you find the Monument Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Sun Mountain Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Lost River offers some fine whitewater.       At Lake Doris throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Doris are in the 20's. Lake Doris is located in the Northern Cascade Range. So many cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. There are perfect spots to look at along the Boundary Trail. Lakes are splendid; Freds                  Lake is a lake that's next to Lake Doris. This lake is so wonderful. Holman Campground is a good campground nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Lease Lake. Here at Lake Doris you can distinguish Osceola Peak, and naturally Dorchester Creek is a striking stream that is worth taking a look at. Lake Doris gets a typical amount of annual rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
