Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. At Derrick Lake you can distinguish Preacher Mountain, and don't forget to take a delightful little journey to Cripple Creek. All through the months of summer here at Derrick Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the       winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Derrick Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Salish Lodge And Spa is a good place to get some rest, and don't leave Derrick Lake without first going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Snoqualmie in the vicinity, and get covered with water paddling on Taylor River. That right there is lots of exciting things already                  but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Looking for something close to Derrick Lake? Little Derrick Lake is close at hand, and camping at Commonwealth Campground is always a good experience. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Derrick Lake has it all. You're probably hooked on lakes, Horseshoe Lake is one of those close by, and going for a hike on the Pratt Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Whitewater paddling is great on Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork, and if you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a great choice. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. The high level of rain makes Derrick Lake a rather wet location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is generally the driest month.
